Marie Curie was a pioneering scientist and a Nobel Prize winning physicist and chemist. She was the first-ever woman to win a Nobel Prize and the first person to win two Nobel Prizes. She was also the first female professor at the University of Paris. She conducted groundbreaking research on radioactivity, discovering the elements polonium and radium. Her research helped to revolutionize the medical field and laid the foundations for modern-day radiation therapy.
